And here it is — in the month of Saga Dawa the roof is slowly emerging, like the crown of the building 👑. Step by step, the building team is assembling the wooden roof structure, which will soon be finished and then covered with roof tiles. The next stage will be the installation of solar panels on the southern side of the building. The roof will also include three skylights, bringing natural light into the interior, as well as a chimney for the fireplace and outlets for the radon extraction system from the basement.
At the top of the building there will be a special Tibetan architectural element called sertö or “golden vase” spire, symbolizing the inner richness and goodness. Tibetan Buddhist teachings say that seeing such symbols is inspiring for those who see them, even if they are not aware of the symbolis’ inner meaning.
Little by little, the Gompa is taking on its final form. It is deeply moving to see how the vision of Jeta Garden — the European residence of Sabchu Rinpoché, a place where Rinpoché will be able to teach and where Dharma activity can flourish — is gradually becoming reality.
We are deeply thankful to everyone 🙏🏻 who supports this project through donations, hands-on help, prayers, and good wishes. Every contribution becomes part of our shared accumulation of merit and helps create the conditions for future Dharma activity at Jeta Garden. Please, keep your support coming!
With heartfelt gratitude,
The Jeta Garden Team
