Over the past two years, we have made significant progress. Our priority now is to make the best possible use of the summer months and advance the work substantially before winter.

And here it is — in the month of Saga Dawa the roof is slowly emerging, like the crown of the building.

Construction work has started again on site, and from the very first days there has been no shortage of excitement.

Little by little, we are closing in the building to protect it from the coming winter. We are carefully installing windows and doors while keeping a close eye on the weather forecast, hoping to stay ahead of the rain and snow.

Today is an important milestone: we are casting the reinforced concrete crown beam that will support the floor slabs. These slabs will become both the ceiling of the gompa and the floor of the second story.

After the long and less spectacular—though absolutely essential—phase of constructing the basement level, we have finally reached the stage where the progress is clearly visible to the naked eye.

Autumn has arrived, and we’ve just finished another big step – the ceiling above the basement has been poured.

We’ve been focusing a lot lately on preparing everything for the sewerage cleaning system.
