It has been a little while since our last construction update 🏗️ — and quite a lot has happened at Jeta Garden 🌿 over the past two months!
One of the most precious moments was the visit of our teacher, Sabchu Rinpoché, who came to Jeta Garden to see the progress of the construction and discuss the next steps. 🙏 It is always a special moment to have Rinpoche here and to see the project developing under his guidance.
Inside the building, the floors have now been finished with screed, and the roof space has been insulated with mineral wool. The insulation is now being covered with plasterboard panels. The ceiling on the top floor will be completed soon, bringing the building another step closer to being ready for the winter. ❄️
In the gompa, work has started on the raised platform for the shrine. Little by little, the spaces are beginning to take on their intended shape. 🪷
The technical room in the basement is also being prepared. Once completed, it will house essential technical equipment and installations needed for the functioning of the building.
Outside, the preparations for the rainwater tank have been completed, and the earth has been removed to make way for the future outdoor terrace. 🌱
As the building moves closer to completion, we are also reaching an important and challenging stage. Now, more than ever, Jeta Garden needs your support 🙏
There are already many invoices to be paid for materials and work that have been completed, while at the same time we need to make sure that the building is properly prepared for the coming winter. This is especially important: the building needs to be sufficiently finished and protected so that it can be heated during the winter and the work can continue safely.
Every donation, large or small, helps us pay for materials, construction work and essential services that have already been carried out. Every contribution brings Jeta Garden one step closer to completion. 🌱
